The Makita DHP489Z is a powerful and compact 18 V brushless cordless hammer drill designed for professional and heavy‑duty applications. The tool is suitable for screwdriving, drilling and hammer drilling, including masonry and concrete. 

The drill delivers up to 73 Nm (hard) / 40 Nm (soft) of fastening torque, providing excellent performance for demanding tasks. A 2‑speed all‑metal gearbox allows the user to select either high speed or high torque. The optimised gear assembly results in a compact overall length of approximately 175 mm, improving manoeuvrability in tight spaces. 

The brushless motor ensures increased efficiency, longer runtime and reduced maintenance. XPT (Extreme Protection Technology) provides improved resistance to dust and moisture. Visibility is enhanced by twin LED job lights with pre‑glow and after‑glow functions.
