The Makita DHP487Z is a compact and lightweight 18 V LXT brushless cordless hammer drill, designed for installation, finishing and maintenance work. It is suitable for screwdriving, drilling and hammer drilling in wood, steel and masonry, especially in confined spaces. 

The drill delivers 40 Nm (hard) / 25 Nm (soft) of fastening torque. A 2‑speed mechanical gearbox allows the user to select either high torque or higher speed depending on the application. The brushless motor ensures improved efficiency, longer tool life and reduced maintenance. 

With an overall length of only approximately 164 mm, the tool offers excellent manoeuvrability and balance. XPT (Extreme Protection Technology) improves resistance to dust and moisture, while the integrated LED job light enhances visibility in low‑light conditions.

The Makita DHP490Z is a powerful and compact 18 V brushless cordless hammer drill, designed for professional and demanding DIY applications. It is suitable for screwdriving, drilling and hammer drilling, offering excellent performance and durability.
