Energy savings through frequency-controlled compressorsReducing energy consumption and protecting our precious energy resources has become a global challenge given its impact on the environment. The A-PLUS range, with outputs of 22, 37, 55 and 75 kW, is also available in a speed control version that combines high performance with energy saving solutions. By using a variable speed compressor in a typical installation, you save a significant amount of energy.
A frequency converter dynamically adjusts the voltage, frequency and current values of the motor. The air output is constantly set to 50 to 100 percent of the full load of the compressor. This gives the following measurable positive effects:
- Accurate coverage of the air requirement by continuous control of the engine speed and compressed air generation
- Minimization of unnecessary energy losses by continuous adjustment of the compressed air generation to the actual air requirement
- Energy consumption proportional to the supplied compressed air
- Constant and precise pressure control, adjustable to any value between 6 and 10 bar (13 bar on request)
